Gulp (Worlds Largest Stop Motion Animation shot on mobile phone)

Sumo Science has teamed up again with Aardman (known for feature films like Wallace and Gromit and Creature Comforts) to shoot another "world record" short film that was shot on a Nokia N8. This  is the world's "largest stop motion animation set," with the largest scene spanning 11,000 sq feet. Absolutely amazing! Makes me rethink why settled for an iPhone (and its lousy 5 megapixels) instead of a Nokia N8 (and its luxurious 12 megapixels).

Food Illustrations on Etsy

It's hard to find artwork to put in the kichen that is fitting for the environment while still being playful, but anek does a wonderful job creating fun food related illustrations. Check out her etsy store.

Otherworldly at Musuem of Art + Design

Saw the Otherworldy: Optical Delusions and Small Realities exhibit at the Museum of Art + Design in NYC a few weeks ago. Amazing stuff. Since I was a young child, I have had a fascination with dioramas and miniature scenes. It requires a meticulous hand and a surreal, imaginative mind to come up with such a detailed delivery of mystery and fantasy.

Christopher Boffoli's Disparity

Discovered Christopher Boffoli's Disparity series a few month ago. After seeing the Otherworldly exhibit at the Museum of Art and Design in New York last month, I see the influence Walter Martin and Paloma Munoz had on his work. Amazing how a tiny scene can have a profound impact on unfolding the untold story.

90s are all that

Nickelodeon at its best. Check out the 90s are all that tumblr page, user submitted photo and media reminiscent of 90s kid shows.

Google's Tribute to Freddie Mercury

Lovely animation created to celebrate Freddie Mercury's birthday. Was up online on Sept 5 for all countries except for the US (due to overshadowing Labor Day).

Also great insight from Queen guitarist Brian May recalling his memories about Freddie on Google's blog.
