IKEA Cookbook

I love visualizing steps and instructions, making food and design, so when IKEA create a cookbook (Homemade is Best) to encourage consumption of IKEA Kitchen appliances available, they did it right and allowed design to take the lead. And apparently there is an app too.

Massive Health (by Methodology)

There seems to be an overabundance of bad infographics floating around the web today. However Massive Health did a good job in creation of We Are What We Eat, a series of infographics explaining the eating habits and perception of health according to different people. They've also created an iPhone app, The Eatery, that allows you to photograph your food and get a health rating, allowing you to become actively aware of your eating habits.

Inception Explained (by Matt Dempsey)

Inception was a pretty intense and complex film to digest in a single sitting, with all the characters and dreams within dreams and extractors, marks, and architects. So UX/UI designer Matt Dempsey decided to create, Inception Explained, a simplified icon explanation of the filme to keep track of the characters and general plot line.

Rear Window Timelapse (by Jeff Desom)

Jeff Desom composited various scenes from Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window to create a seamless panoramic time lapse from L. B. Jeffries' (played by James Stewart) point of view.

Danny Martin - Postal Illustrations

A fan of Danny Martin's illustrations of 80s film characters on postal stickers. I certainly would not mind getting a USPS package in the mail with his creations scrawled all over.

Fresh Guacamole (PES)

Another clever stop motion short by PES (Adam Pesapane)

Hidden Pictures' “Synchronized Sleeping” (Jordan Gray)

Feeling nostalgic. Jordan Gray's album artwork for Hidden Pictures' “Synchronized Sleeping” reminds me of an addicting interactive experience that was created for the Concretes "In Colour" album (circa flash capabilities in 2005).

Gotye's “Easy Way Out”

Music video for Gotye's “Easy Way Out”, directed by Oh Yeah Wow. Reminds me of early Michel Gondry meets Julien Vallée.

Snow drawings by Sonja Hinrichsen
