The Dot Project

The Dot project, started by Jeff Glasse, is an iPhone 4 lens attachment and accompaning software that allows for users to capture 360° video that can easily be shared on Facebook, Twitter and other online avenues (made possible by their panoramic video web platform and player).

If you make a substantial donation ($98) via KickStarter you can get your hands on a Dot prototype, and even get a hug from the creators at the NYC launch party.

I would donate in a heartbeat if it was compatible for the iPad.

"From the Desk Of..." is a blog that specializes in featuring people's workspace. I'm glad other people out there share my crazy and quirky interests.

Marc Johns work area

I love to see other creative professional's work space, it's a glimpse into their creative process among making other interesting observations. Here is a tiny glimpse of illustrator, Marc Johns' current work area.

SimpleDesktops.com

Found a site with beautiful and clean desktop backgrounds on SimpleDesktops. My favorite is the Dr. Who Police Box by Thomas Quicksell. Overall most backgrounds on the site have some great color treatments.

Pictionary Photo Booth

I'm a sucker for photo booths in general, especially the fancy japanese photo booths that let you change borders, backgrounds, add stickers and create elaborate and unnecessary effects. This Pictionary Photo booth that was the brainchild of Ogilvy & Mather (Columbia) is clever.

Quotes on Design

Found a fantastic resource, quotesondesign.com, with inspirational, quirky, and fun quotes related to art and design. They even have a token Gary Busey-ism related to creativity: "Your imagination is the hood ornament on the car of creativity."
