Be Kind Rewind Movie Trailer

This movie looks hilarious and brilliant! To no surprise it's the work of one of my heroes, Michel Gondry. And you can't go wrong with Jack Black and Mos Def.

In support of the strikers...

I just love David Cross playing the furry scab.

Creast Pro Health rinse is anything but healthy

I hate using mouthwash of any kind...but I started using Crest Pro Health about a month ago to be a little better to my teeth...and now I've got nasty brown stains, primarily on the teeth in the lower jaw region. These stains were never there prior to using Crest Pro Health rinse, nor were they there even when I used to smoke and drink coffee daily. Thanks a lot Crest and P&G for ruining my teeth!

You've got to read some of these complaints:

Angry Mom writes, "My 10-year-old's teeth look like he's been chewing tobacco; Believe me, Crest is going to hear about this, and if my son's teeth are permanently ruined, they are going to hear from my lawyer as well." (Crest Pro Health Rinse)

Mr. Mark Davidson writes, "I look like I'm eating sand or that I've become a crystal meth addict..." (Crest Pro Health Rinse)

Who's idea was this?

So Hershey's has come out with this new candy called Ice Breakers Pacs...they look like little sealed packets of cocaine (somebody didn't think this through). Even the police can't tell the difference.

Robyn's 'Be Mine!'

Where was this song and video 6 years ago?

INGRID MICHAELSON's "The Way I am"

I posted her performance of "The Way I am" a few months ago, now her video is out...and it's very cute. Love it!

A Passion for Food blog

Here's another blog I like...A Passion for Food. The blogger is from Hawaii, and not lives in NYC...oh how I wish I still lived in New York.

Treat a Week Recipes blog

Found a recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookie bars at Treat a Week Recipes...looks delicious!!!! You should check it out here

cool cat

Cat's in clothes are very cool. Though I'm more of a dog person.

ATT's "Where do you live?"

AT&T has got this clever new ad campaign that creates unique city names based on three city names of your choice (cities that you may live, work, or vacation in). It was fun the first time to see what New York + Seattle + Hawaii= New Seataii. But then it just got predictable and boring...so I plugged in things to make cool slogans that would actually mean something to me. You can purchase t-shirts, mugs, totes and bumper stickers with your "ultra city name"...but why would I want to help AT&T earn more money when I could get a cooler shirt made by neighborhoodies?

MUJI in SOHO!!!!!

If you live in NYC and you don't go to Muji starting friday, I will be disappointed in you because it is the best store in the world! I would hop on a plane on friday just to go to the store opening (plus get my hair cut, brows threaded, a new Rx from my doctor, have lunch at zen palate, get some tasti-d-lite, browse h&m, catch the poetry slam at the nuyorican, and get a late nite snack at yaffa) but I'm not financially secure enough to randomly fly anywhere, anytime.

Anyways get with the hip times people and check out Muji (cos if you haven't had the pleasure of visiting one while in europe, or japan, you've got your chance in new york)

Knitted Hippo---a cute gift for a kid!

Recycled Notebook--how can you not love the minimalism and brown covers!?!

Color Pencil Tube--I feel in love with the brown packaging 4 years ago!

Shrink Wrap Tees--they are so nice and snug.

Acrylic Bangle and Ring set---whoever gets this for me will be sent the best chocolate in the world!

Handkerchief New York---great gift idea

City in a Bag: New York----they got one for Tokyo, London, Paris and Barcelona too, great gift idea as well.

"Mind your own damn business Mrs. Rodriguez!"

If you don't watch 30 Rock, you should, based solely on Tracy Morgan's constant hilarity and Alec Baldwin's brillance.

You've got to watch this clip on Gawker here, it's the best of the whole series!

Veronica Mars season 4 'pilot' (part 2)

How great would this be!!!

Veronica Mars season 4 'pilot' (part 1)

Why'd they cancel it when it would have gotten so good!

While browsing stock photos...

I came across the cutest dogs in the getty image bank last week...and I had to post them because I so want a dog right now, but i'm not allow to have one. If it were a perfect world I would have a daisy dog (mix of shih tzu, poodle, and bichon frise) and and english bull dog, and big plate of french fries.

Modified Pez

I love these modified pez containers! Hilarious! The design team that created these, ATYPYK are geniuses!

Wants for Sale

So this couple is painting things they want. The paintings sells for the exact price of their wanted item....ie they want a wii, the wii painting costs 270.92 (retail price of a wii). Some of the paintings are cute (have dinner at nobu $152.00)..others are very lame and unrealistic (have financial security 1 million dollars)...please like someone wants to buy your crappy painting for 1 million dollars. Eh, I give them kudos for creativity, but the paintings aren't cool enough for me to shell out even a penny. There are a few paintings for free, I wonder why those haven't gone?

sorry

sorry for the dry spell, but here's a plethora of blogs I've been meaning to post for two weeks.

Love it!

Robyn's 'Handle Me'

Love it!

TBS has a Seinfeld poster challenge where you have to guess what Seinfeld references are depicted. It's great. My fav...it's a toss up between "the Jerk Store" and "Little Kicks."

We hope it's chips, it's chips!

If you're not British, and you watch Rock Profile/Little Britain, and you have no idea why Shirley Basset(Matt Lucas) and Tom Jones(David Walliams) started singing "we hope it's chip's it's chips," you will no understand...Birds Eye Steakhouse Grills Advert

Iguana lounging on a mini couch

Saw this photo on the LAist. Apparently some dude walking around LA, was randomly taking pictures and he saw some other guy pull out these mini couches and an iguanas which were trained to pose on mini couches. It took about three months to train them. Very cool.

Love

Love some of the new Absolut ads done by TBWA\Chiat\Day...pretty good for a new approach.

Ingrid Michaelson on Last Call with Carson Daly

Ingrid Michaelson song is in the new Old navy commercial.

Gap Military Coat

Where was this coat three years ago when I was so obsessed with military style coats and mandarin collars? I'd get it, but that's so 2003.

Yes, in 2003 I would have died to have a jacket like Kelly's. But not so much now.

The Classic Nickelodeon

I would love to be a 11 year old again reading Nick Magazine, making a slime cake, watching SNICK on Saturday nights. Cos lets face it, the only good thing about being an adult these days is being able to have a wine, and being in New York, when I lived there :(

"Happy Ending" by Mika

This is another song on .. with a great video...it's just missing the little girl in the yellow party dress. I had a dream about Mika the other night, but that's for another post.

Happy Birfhday!

Nature is a wondrous think

A few weeks ago a bear had to kill some crows at the Woodland zoo...doesn't sound too interesting...but some guy drew a sketch of how it all went down...now that is cool.

Open Plans you are my hero

The Open Plans Project replicated New York City at Burning Man this year...and thank goodness they didn't represent NYC in tourist form. Instead they captured New York as true New Yorkers would like it: a subway station with rats, those free newspaper boxes, and my personal favorite NYC landmark, the Cube!

If you live in New York...

You've got to check out this NYC Park(ing) Day on September 21...people are turning public spaces into mini parks...how cool is that?!

And how ironic, speaking of Sept. 21, that is Yom Kippur...which means Gramercy Park will be open for like an hour to the public! Stalk the park out like a crazed teen would stalk Zac Efron at his hotel. Although thought as a myth, Gramercy Park was open last year...and I took a few great panoramas. If you haven't visited my lovehateNYC site, do check it out, there's a Gramercy Park time lapse panorama. I went to the park around 11:00ish-2:00ish last year and the gates opened mysteriously around 2:00, but only for a short while, so keep checking til they open up and enjoy the beautifulness that is Gramercy Park.

Prank War!

Two guys at College Humor have a prank war going on...and this one is the best! You've got to watch it, it's far evil than the McDonalds prank war commerical.

Never offend a New Yorker

The Seattlest has offended me again as a New Yorker with a write up about some insensitive guy's "9/11 Never Forget Eat Off"...maybe it's just that non-New Yorkers think us New yorkers have tough bull dog skin and don't have feelings, but we do, and we're very passionate about our feelings, especially when it comes to 9/11. I was appalled and shocked that someone had at audacity to call a retard frat boyish event like a french fry eating contest (held at Red Robin, with heinous rules like eating your own vomit and relieving yourself at the table) a 9/11 commemoration...but then again this Bicycle Hobo Gang leader, Michael, is a blogger who got fired from his job for looking at porn at work...I guess that says a lot.

Exploding Dog at Wax Poetic Gallery

If you live in the Los Angeles area you must definitely check out this Sam Brown and Andrew Bell(Exploding Dog) Progress show at the Wax Poetic Gallery.

It's not just typical exploding dog stuff, it's got these pill guys and some pretty neat elaborate paintings. Definitely check it out!

I'm back!

I know I have been lacking in the blog department...been feeling kind of bleh, eh, meeh.

So here's an explosion of "I meant to blog about this in the past two weeks".

Busted Tees

Here's some hilarious tee at bustedtees.com....

Oh how I miss Salute Your Shorts...now that was classic (pre)teen television!

How can you not love slap bracelets?!?
