Can I get a "F***in' A!"?

Saw this on the gothamist.com the other week.

Oh how I miss you New York.

WTF?

"Hey Kids: This is Advertising!" I don't know why I laughed out loud like a crazy person when I saw this Burger King site promoting the Simpsons...maybe because it's just a tad bit patronizing to kids.

Green tea parfait here I come!

I have not heard of bingoo til now, but I am craving and loving it (dispite never eating it). Browsing the foodie blogs today...I came across some blog saying that Trader Joe's now has green tea yogurt--I will have to make a trip to TJ's soon.

Then I discovered greengelato's blog, someone obsessed with all things matcha (which I love!)...and I saw this picture of this Korean dessert called bingoo...this type specifically being green tea flavored with matcha pudding, matcha ice cream, rice cake, adzuki beans (bleh!I'll eat around this).

The place to get it: Chicco dall Oriente Cafe, 1504 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC. That is a must do on a trip to Vancouver. I'm starting to like living on the west coast now...mainly because of the food.

Cool site of last week

Here's another site that makes me go all weak in the knees because it's so super cool and fun...246 W17 (it's for the new condo building on West 17th street [in new york] with $225,000 parking spaces). The illustrations were done by eboy, pixel town super man genius.

If anything, just check out his interactive neighborhood map of Chelsea...it's great! It's got Andy Warhol heads representing culture hotspots and vampire bats representing nightlife. And how can you not love the guys playing batchi ball up on the high line?

It's a Kangappotamouse!

Saw this creepy creature featured on someone's blog today. Apparently someone saw it outside an office building in Seattle. Some think it's a naked mole rat

...but I'm thinking more naked guinea pig (aka skinny pig).

Read the comments on that post...there's some helpful guesses. It would be much cooler if it was a hybrid Kangaroo, Hippopotamus, and Mouse.

Simpsons in Bazzar

This is so clever! Check out all the cartoons here and their life-like comparisons.

New Gwen Stefani Dolls...$100 each!

So I got an announcement from the Gwen Stefani fans newsletter saying that there is a Series II of the Gwen Stefani dolls being released in the fall. There's going to be a sneak preview at the San Diego Comic Convention next week...they're only making 150 of these dolls so it's first come, first serve. You can pre-order with the toy company, Huckleberry Toys. But who the hell wants to pay $100 for a doll that's worth 80 cents to make? It better come with a tiny Kingston and life-like, anatomically correct Gavin Rossdale doll too.

You know these dolls are going to be selling on target.com in the fall. I'm not that Gwen obsessed nor do I have a need to parade a new Gwen doll around this summer. But then again, crazy comic book collectors have nothing better to do with their money. I just hope they don't get her dirty.
